The Most Important Question to Ask Yourself

The Most Important Question to Ask Yourself

Every Sunday, I send you something to THINK about, a question to ASK yourself, something to TRY and invite you to SHARE.

Feel that life is passing you by?

You have 4,680 weeks to live. Make the most of them.

THINK

“The right question is usually more important than the right answer.”

Plato

As you read this week’s Newsletter, I’ll be in sunny Scotland for a 2-week break. We didn’t do many family holidays growing up, so it’s not something that comes naturally to me.

This might sound alien to some of you. I know I’m in the minority, but I rarely feel like I ‘need’ a holiday. I love what I do and I see time off as an obstacle to work around.

“How am I going to get my work done?”

I know it’s important to take time out. Even if I don’t feel like it. So, I’m making a point to take at least 2 weeks off every year to decompress and reflect on the previous 12 months.

I timed the holiday to coincide with the end of my business course ‘Property Entrepreneur’, which finished last week. I’ve been on this course for 2 years and it’s been wonderful. I’ve learned a lot about business and property investing, and I’ve met some amazing people.

But all good things come to an end.

I nervously delivered my end-of-year presentation to the group last Friday and somehow managed to scoop 2nd place, which I’m absolutely delighted with!

During the final workshop, we all took a moment to reflect on a very important question.

I would argue, it could be the most important question to ask yourself, and I want to share it with you.

It’s NOT easy to answer but it’s likely to expose your greatest opportunity for growth.

What’s the one decision you’re not making that will unlock everything and take you to the next level?

We humans, are world-class avoiders. We somehow find a way to dodge the thing we know we should be doing.

This thing is difficult to confront, scary, even painful but it’ll have the greatest impact on our life.

For me, it’s saying no to everything that isn’t aligned with my YouTube business and brand. This year, I want to throw everything into this business and see what I can achieve.

I find it hard to say ‘no’ to opportunities. The funny thing is, the more successful you become, the more opportunities are presented to you.

Running 3 businesses is not the best way to succeed. Especially, when you’re an overthinker like me.  I’ve spread myself too thin. I know I need to find a way to make YouTube my everything and limit the time and energy I spend doing everything else.

I’m in the fortunate position that I love what I do, I impact the lives of others and I’m sitting on a great earning potential (The Perfect Side Hustle). In fact, I hate not doing YouTube.

Now it’s time to realise that potential, increase my impact and have a lot of fun along the way. But enough about me… what about you?

What are you avoiding?

It’s probably the one and only thing you should be doing.

Reflect and share this with someone.

ASK

“What’s the one decision you’re not making that will unlock everything and take you to the next level?”

“What ONE thing could I do today to move me towards progress?”

Write down what comes to mind.

TRY

If you’ve read this far – THANK YOU – but reading and moving on with your day is as good as not reading it.

Take 5-10 mins to write down what that one decision is for you.

It’s time to stop avoiding and face the uncomfortable truth.

What ONE thing will you do today to move you towards that thing you know you should be doing?

Make it easy or impossible to fail, and get the wheels in motion.

HIT REPLY and tell me what you’re committing to or what you’ve done.
